Would You Accept This As Best Coffee?
I read a very interesting coffee maker ratings, it is a review that does not uses any numbers or rely on any expert views. It is a ratings that depends heavily on contributions from its readers. I guess the most interesting part is my agreement with what the readers have submitted!
Can you imagine that those coffee maker ratings are not submitted by your experts or gurus, there are folks like you and me? And they do not have complicated terms or charts to explain why the coffee machines that they used is better, they merely say what they thought.
So, you can imagine how surprised I was when I read an evaluation from a lady that says her grandmother coffee is the best. It was brewed from coffee socks. For those that do not know what coffee socks is, it is a very popular way to drink coffee in South East Asia.
It is actually like a drip filter coffee maker, but instead of a paper coffee filter, it uses a coffee sock. The coffee would go through a few rounds of filtering to get the taste that the customers are looking for.
Anyway, there no sophisticated machines or methods used that lead this lady to nominate her grandmother coffee in the coffee maker ratings. What she highlighted are love and care, two words that you would never read about when it comes to evaluating coffee, but I cannot agree with her more.
In the end, the cup of coffee that you drink would always be a cup of coffee. But, the environment surrounding that breathes experience into this cup of coffee is what people associate with this cup of coffee.
Drinking coffee in office can never be good, coffee taste especially good when it is drunk during sun rise or sun set. So, it is the situation that affects the person doing the coffee maker ratings and not the coffee itself.
The coffee would still be the same but the environment that changes can impact the coffee greatly. For the case of this lady, she probably cannot remember how that coffee taste like, but the environment surrounding it, that has formed a very strong memory inside her, would always tell her that, that is a good coffee.
In fact, this experience is what many corporations are trying to market. Take a look at Starbucks, they would never tell you that they are selling coffee; they are marketing the coffee experience.
So, do not be amazed that this grandmother coffee came out top in these coffee maker ratings, for the memory that it has created, it rightfully deserves this position. In fact, if bib corporations are doing this to market their coffee, don’t you think you should change the way you evaluate the ratings on your coffee machines?
Forget about those numbers, think about how each coffee machine would add value to your lifestyle and chooses it in this manner. In the end, it is not going to be the most expensive coffee machines that matters, it is going to be the machine that best assist you in your daily life.
That is my thought from a coffee maker ratings that I read about and hope this new perspective can assist you in finding that right coffee brewer for you.
