Our Kitchen Refit
We live in Salisbury, Wiltshire we have just done a complete remodelling of our Kitchen, after we had the general kitchen planning sorted we ensured we got the builder in ahead of the other jobs to avoid getting the fresh units covered in dust to make a gap through into the dining room and outside using Oak Beams to hold up the wall.
The kitchen layout was a basic U with a in the middle island work station, with a pot rack from the ceiling. The Fitted Kitchen was in a really light oak with lighting picking up specific work areas. We placed extra under floor illumination into the kitchen and into the outside and fitted External Lighting to illuminate the oak flooring or decking outside.
After having the Electrical contractors in Salisbury in, prior to fitting the kitchen to ensure all of the wiring was in position. And finally brought in the gorgeous pristine oak Cabinets. some gorgeous Marca Corona Evolution tiles which looked good with the oak but provided the kitchen a really warm feel.
Take your time when deciding what you want from a kitchen. We purchased lots of magazines and scoured the web to discover images we connected with, we then whittled them down until we had something that would work in the area that we had allotted. Try to keep a scrap book so that when you talk to people that can do the work for you, they will know the type of look you are after.
