Early production models of the LC2 Sofa frequently had black or white coverings, even though reproductions are now presented in other shades.
The LC2 Le Corbusier Sofa was the endeavor of Le Corbusier, a Swiss-French architect and initiator of the 20th century Modern association. The LC2 Sofa was among the investigational furniture Le Corbusier created in 1928 in partnership with his cousin and fellow architect Pierre Jeanneret and French designer Charlotte Perriand. The sofa, in conjunction with the rest of the LC2 set, was later exhibited in 1929 at the Salon d’ Automne art display in Paris under the Equipment for the Home inauguration.
