Candles, but make sure they are out of the way and secured. You don't want anyones swooshing sleeves or hair to catch fire. You can get attractive votive holders fairly inexpensively if you have no holders for tapers.

Check the craft store for black or purple silk flowers. Fairy lights are always good for mood lighting- the purple sold at Halloween are best, but at this time of year you can get clear or red ones that will work for Goth. Black tulle, available at a fabric store, is cheap and good for draping over mirrors, doorways or whatever. Get some dead branches, spray paint them black, wrap the fairy lights around them, drape tulle over them. Check all your friend's Halloween decor stashes for ravens, owls and bats and hang/sit them around. Hope you have fun!

1] use fabric, or pretty wrapping paper
2] Fold over doors, like a present.
3] Fasten cloth to cloth rather than actually stapling to wood of doors.

I love to shop for Christmas decorations at Target because they have lots of stuff that looks young and trendy, plus it's affordable and they make a lot of stuff to match. Sometimes you can find neat stuff at dollar stores too!

Why not try finding some ornaments that you can hang from your ceiling to make a big impact on the overall look of your room. Find some cheap ones that match your tree ornaments and hang them from ribbons of different lengths.

Try hanging extra lights around your room too to get a nice Christmassy glow. They would look neat hung behind your window blinds or around your furniture. You can use other decorations like garland to conceal cords to make it look nicer.

Try intertwining lights around your furniture for a nice glow.
You could get some glass (or clear plastic) vases and put different ornaments in them.
Get some x-massy material the right size for your bed and have a hem put in it and use it over your comforter on the bed.
Use wrapping paper and "wrap" doors like presents.

I would cut out some snowflakes and maybe put glitter on them and hang them from my ceiling mixed with the christmas lights (clear would look best)! Or hang the ornaments from the ceiling with cup hooks. I would also put a small tree in the corner and decorate it to match the colors you are using and maybe wrap a couple of empty boxes to put under it (or if you wanna use a miniature tree if you have a small room, you can decorate some miniature boxes too, so cute)!
If you don't already have or don't wanna spend money on a bedding set, you can buy plain red, green or white sheets. Accent the color of the room opposite of the color of your bedding. You can even cut out red and green felt shapes (stars, stockings, candy canes, trees) and use fabric glue or stitch them to a white pillow case for a sham on your bed or even your sheets! =)
